December 10th, 2011

Using colors like olive green, mustard yellow, cream, tan, and navy blue. Some of the most delicious colors, which are really popular in fashion.

November 1st, 2011     Bats in Progress. Various pigments and metal powders, oil gilded.

These get presented individually on small white custom shelves. See my Sculpture page.

September 12th, 2011     Taxidermy Raven, sprayed with blue/violet mica powder. Silver feet!

I'm making a new copper perch branch for this Raven. You have to see this in person, the iridescent Blue/Violet mica powder I used is highly iridescent, mainly because I've used it on such a deep black colored bird. From one angle the bird is red-violet, and from another it is blue-black. The bird transformed into an Asian dragon.

August 6th, 2011     Taxidermy Cobra gilded in 24K gold.

It hangs on one, visible nail, under one of the loops of his tail.

June 23rd, 2011     I love this. The feathers are covert macaw feathers. Naturally molted!

More of these coming soon.

June 17th, 2011     My upcoming Direct Art Magazine two-pager. Looking good!

Thank you Tim.

June 15st, 2011     Hey look I'm in the Ridgewood News!

Thank you Lorraine, and thank you Gloria.

May 31st, 2011     Just made this! The blue is Japanese pastel blue, dyed silver leaf.

There is also a pastel purple one on black paper with white drawn lines. The 2 make a good pair.

February 14th, 2011     Tanja's "Sorrowbird"

This was once a painting of a colorful parrot, which I poured bleach on, and it of course made the entire thing bright white except for the sky had some pink paint along the edges. Then apparently I turned it into a bird which Tanja had a dream about. (collection of Tanja Schockenhoff, Germany)
